Located in the Lower Zambezi National Park, is the stylishly designed Sausage Tree Camp. Constructed of canvas and eco-friendly man-made “wood” and decorated with soft linens, natural woods and modern furnishings, the owner-run property enjoys unrivalled vistas over reed islands in front of camp, where animals are drawn. 7 safari chic luxurious canvas suites and the 2 bedroom ‘Kigelia House’ feature en-suite indoor bathrooms with open-air showers.
Sliding doors lead out to decks with a lounge and private plunge pool. Guests dine by candlelight in the dining area, by star light on the deck, by camp fire in the bush and can have a memorable lunch on a sandbank in the Zambezi with water lapping at your feet. Activities are flexible and include boating, canoeing, catch and release fishing (rod fee applicable) game drives and guided bush walks. A trip to the local village school and clinic can be arranged and guests can also visit the head office of Conservation Lower Zambezi, to chat to the anti-poaching units and meet the dogs.
